Description:

Two award-winning ensembles -- Dover Quartet and Imani Winds --are set to appear in this wide-ranging concert by Chamber Music Northwest, featuring the premiere of contemporary composer Daniel Schlosberg's newest work, inspired by the much-talked-about TV series "Twin Peaks". Superfan Schlosberg, who did his doctoral thesis on "Twin Peaks" scorer Angelo Badalamenti, apparently persuaded the Dover musicians to binge-watch all 30 episodes. Now they'll debut the piece -- which is bound to evoke the spirit of the dear departed Laura Palmer -- as part of this concert at Reed College's Kaul Auditorium in Portland. Also on the bill are Chris Rogerson's world premiere of "Thirty Thousand Days" and traditional pieces by Bach and Poulenc.
